ParticipantHello Marla :-).
I am 47 years old and have been following you on youtube since 2018-2019.
I was wondering if you could help me to understand better how to keep this rare autoimmune problem in remission (Lichen schlerosus)?
It manifested in december 2019. I had a biopsy and a plastic surgery august 2020 in Italy (lipofilling, laser c2, prp) on the external part : vulva and labia. I have had no problems with the urethra, clitoris and anus, so i am grateful for that and I have no symptoms at all, except for dryness if I don’t use oils to hydrate. I have no lichen inside the vagina but I have a stenosis that prevents me from having a sexual intercourse, but I have been working on that since this spring (tens, stretching and so on), so I am hopeful.
I was in early menopause since I was 38 (now I am 47) because of stress, food toxicity and medicine. I tried 4 times (failing) to get pregnant (egg donation programs), the last time in 2018 when my body had enough, I lost 8 kilos and was at the emergency room october 2019 (my normal weight before was 47 kilos, but only 39 kilos in october 2019 when I got sick – height 1.62 cm), finding out my iron level was truly low, with stomach and intestine problems…
Since then, a part from the plastic surgery, I have also changed my diet (gluten/sugar/dairy free ecc) with the help of your youtube video :-), I went to a psychologist and so on.
The main reason I think why my lichen burst out suddenly was because of 4 reasons:
1) The general toxicity accumulated through the years –
2) Psychological stress.
3) I lost weight in 2018-2019 (the skin tissues had a chock loosing its fat/barrier)
4) They told me in 2019 to stop with the birth control pills that I had been taken for 6 years (I was taking them in order to have a periods), so I did that and lost my estrogen…
Now 2 year later after the surgery, I have gained back 4 kilos (still 4 left to gain), I feel good, I had my visual artist certificate 🙂 and so on, and I do my best to keep calm and healthy.
I currently take every day: fenus greek, probiotics, iron (bisglycinate), Vit. B-grupp, Vit.C Acerola, Vit.A (drops), vit.D (drops). Plus I take “female hormones” or “sage” (both by the label Vegavero) or redclover, and wild yam because I have vaginal atrophy. Plus I take 2 homeopathic drops since march 2022: “epatic” in the morning, “anunus” before lunch and dinner. And 2 weeks ago I started “Bryophyllum Argento cultum Rh D3” in the evenings.
I take only 3 times a week: natural calcium, magnesium, collagen, hyaloronic acid, (also aloe vera and slippery elm when needed).
I would like to start regulating my autoimmune levesl (T1 and T2 ?), starting perhaps in september, and I was wondering which methods would be most effective? A medicinal mushroom, berberine, lots of sleep off course and so on. In my case, and based on what I have written to you, how would you suggest I proceed? I will take your advice and talk to my naturopath and homeopath, so I would really appreciate any your suggestions and be so grateful to you.
Looking forward to your response.

KeymasterHello!
Welcome to the platform!
First off for disclaimer, I can’t give “medical” or “protocol” advice if you are not a client and have not signed our consent agreements, etc. That being said, will do my best to point you in the right direction.First of all, you want to address the root causes of your autoimmune condition. Everyone has different root causes but there are a few that are usually constant for everyone and these are the following:
- liver and kidney toxicity
- hormonal toxicity (due to liver congestion)
- Dysbiosis in the gut (this isn’t a root cause but is a major driver of inflammation and skin issues and pops up as a result of poor diet and stress and birth control, etc)
- viral burden
- Imbalanced immunity (we won’t know which way your immune system is tipped without doing assessments but typically with skin issues, it is often Th2 dominance at the core).
- Potentially adrenal fatigue, elevated cortisol/poor cortisol receptor activity, insulin resistance, nutrient deficiencies, thyroid imbalance and so forth.
So you want to start addressing those root causes first and for a while until you start to see changed/improvements. I recommend doing the following after checking with your practitioner:
- Biotherapeutic drainage (BTD) protocols on this platform for 16 weeks: 1st do protocol #1 then protocol #2
- Alongside BTD, do my pathogen cleanse for several months or until skin is cleared
- Consider taking something like meno-gen or Vaccinium vitis idaea Gemmo for hormones and menopause
- add in POTENTIAL remedies such as reishi mushroom for blood sugar, astragalus (adrenals and immune support) and probiotics.
I would start here doing this sort of protocol (add the UNDA #s for BTD along with the pathogen cleanse and hormonal support) to get you started on rebalancing the body and removing toxicity, excess hormones, etc.
Along with this, following a very antiinflammatory diet that is very alkaline and low in starchy foods.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantPs. I was told by both the naturopath and the homeopath that I need to eat starchy foods along with healthy fats to gain weight,
I am underweight and have very soft skin, you see why I contacted you, because I believe like you that I need to follow a proper root cause protocol, like yours. I was thinking of startiing that very soon, talk to them about it and hope för the best results, I am only afraid I will loose weight, which is something I mustn’t because I am underweight right now.
Right now in order to gain weight I eat daily nuts and seeds, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil olives, and at least two of theese daily: buckwheat pasta, white rice, millet, quinoa (potato only once a week). I hope I can still eat them, but less of course, even during your protocolls.

Keymasteryou’re welcome! and i never make my clients go KETO or super low starch. you can have starches but they have to be the RIGHT ONES. ALso, for weightloss, increase fat and protein consumption. It is harder to lose weight if you’re getting in the right amount of calories per day. often when people go low carb they eat more veggies to replace the carbs but veggies dont have calories. Instead do things like extra fats, proteins, squash, quinoa, millet, etc.
