Hi Marla, I was wondering if you could give me some general advice on what conventional lab tests to ask my daughters physician to order for eczema. My daughter (3 yrs old) has eczema that flares at times, and definitely gets worse with sugar. Most of the time it is controlled with diet and supplements, but at times she gets really bad itchy flares that nothing seems to help. I had appointment with her doctor who is not specialized in skin or immune issues, but is willing to order any lab test for us. What should I suggest, for example to test for H pylori, candida etc…thanks! Becky Baim

    hey!

the list could be quite long in terms of testing and it geatly deends on her health history. I would have your doctor send her for any testing he feels is appropriate. A few tests i encourage my clients with eczema ot look into are: food sensitivity testing, mold testing, crp, il6, wbc, neutrophils, iron, 25-hydroxy d3 and 25 dihydroxy d3, and stool testing (although not always super accurate as pathogens can create biofilms which prevents them from being visible in stool) but is still a good idea.

    hope this helps 🙂
