ParticipantHi, it’s me again with a different question. My mom has low thyroid function and is on therapy already however she wanted to know whether Lugol`s solution is ok to take while on the medication she is on for the hypothyroidism? Thank you in advance and God bless 🙂

KeymasterI would not take iodine while on other medication unless doctor gives the OK because sometimes it can block the function of the the thyroid meds.
The only Iodine that would be OK would be Gammadyn I from UNDA but I am not sure you can get that?

Keymasteryou can stop taking it if you’ve been on it that long. Hair thinning could be iron deficiency, too much cortisol/stress, thyroid imbalance or too much testosterone, or insulin resistance. Its hard to know what it is related to without testing however you can try doing inositol if you have blood sugar imbalance and reduce inflammation naturally with medicinal mushrooms and see if that helps. Perhaps you may benefit from my hormone course to learn more about your possible issues/concerns. You can use the code on this platform to get 50% off ! The course goes in depth on different remedies and herbs and lifestyle and dietary suggestions to take and follow based on your main health concerns. It educates on where they are stemming from and can help give insight into what is going on.

ParticipantAs for iron deficiency, I’m supplementing with iron for a while now, the thyroid always is fine when I do blood checks, I don’t think is insulin resistance I have been on the healthy keto diet for 3 months and I have never felt better before in my life. Now I don’t know about high testosterone levels. Basically, this hair fall happened after a while of taking DIM which helped a lot since I was suffering from estrogen dominance all my life, and I’m scared to stop the DIM bcoz I don’t want the problems with estrogen dominance to come back. If I stop it how long should I do a break from it? or should I try 100 mg for a while (taking 200 mg currently )? and yes ill definitely get the hormone book from you, I got the candida book from you and I’m so very glad I did it’s so very helpful 🙂

Keymasterso it is most likely related to hormonal imbalance. You never want to do anything for too long as it can create an imbalance. you could have estradiol (good estrogen not toxic) deficiency triggering the hairloss. You can try consuming flax and chia seeds (seed cycling) and work on increasing/balancing your estrogen production. Typically when we have estrogen overload it is from xenoestrogens.

Keymasteri recommend taking it for a couple months then stopping and it shouldnt be needed again from there if you maintain a healthy diet with lots of fiber. Your body releases estrogen through bowel movements, so constipation can cause excess estrogen to be absorbed back into the bloodstream. Eat enough fiber to help you go (atleast 1 tbs of chia seeds and flax daily or psyllium husk, etc). Also you should be eating lots of cruciferous veggies to get DIM naturally through food. hope this helps 🙂
