Hi. I have a small stomach ulcer and now everytime i have my daily magnesium (calm drink) or my vitamin b1 that says in the ingrediants HCl or my vitamin C, I get a sharp pains.

By the way does HCl in vitamins ingredients mean hydrocloic acid?? I know I shouldn’t be taking hydrocloic acid with an ulcer.

I’m very depleted in a lot of vitamins because I have malabsorbtion issues, so I need suppliments but atm I can’t take very much of the ones with acid I guess. My doses are so small, too small to even help my deficiencies.

What’s a safe magnesium, b1, vitamin c to take without causing irritation to the ulcer?

    Hello!

    Yes HCl is hydrochloric acid.

I highly suggest doing marshmallow root, Lglutamine, and aloe vera gel for ulcers. FOr Magnesium, I believe Genestra magnesium glycinate Liquid is good but I would not be doing vitamin C.

Thanks 🙂 and ill look into it. But the thing is i need vitamin c, it’s only thing that stops my body from swelling.

I looked up that Buffered Magnesium Ascorbate form of vitamin c is best for ulcers. What do you think?

And also are all b vitamins have to be made from hcl? Wonder if there’s a brand out there that does b vitamins that gentle.

    Thanks lovely.

You can try the buffered magnesium but ive still seen clients have issues with that depending how severe your ulcers are. It’s up to you 🙂

Many brands use the Hcl to separate the bvitamins which makes them much easier to absorb. If you don’t have easily absorbable nutrients, your body will have difficulty assimilating them. Perhaps a very low quality Bvitamin will not contain the hcl.
