Hi Marla, I recently watched a video posted by Dr. Mark Hyman where it was mentioned that multiple studies have shown that eating soy is associated with lower rates of breast cancer and that its because soy can bind to the estrogen receptors in our bodies, preventing our own estrogen to bind to the receptors and as a result you have a lower estrogen like impact in your body. It was also mentioned that food in most cases works like a modulator to bring things back to balance instead of interfering with our bodies. Imp to mention that the soy products mentioned were high quality organic and traditionally prepared products such as tofu, natto, tempeh, soy sauce etc. Wanted to know your thoughts on this. Thank you!

    Hey Shivi,

if you do not have excess estrogen, organic soy that is fermented can be very nutritious however most of us have estrogen dominance and there are many studies showing that soy behaves like estrogen which leads to estrogen dominance.
