ParticipantHi Marla, I’m 33 years old and I have always had a regular but short menstrual cycle (23-25 days with some spotting). I’ve been diagnosed with low progesterone in the past. I’ve also taken BC for about ten years (I stopped taking it when I was 26).
I’ve also been struggling with hair shedding for almost 3 years and the only thing that helps me is taking fenugreek, which I think is a DHT blocker. Now I stopped taking it cause I was told it’s a hormone disruptor since it contains phytoestrogens. What do you think of it?
I’d love to take your hormone course. Are there any discounts for the community members?
Thank you in advance for your answer!

KeymasterHello Giulia,
When you have shorter cycles, it usually indicates estrogen toxicity so doing things to remove excess xenoestrogens form the body is recommended. Birth control, as i am sure you know, greatly disrupts hormone production.
For hormones birth control, i recommend starting with the following (ALWAYS CHECK WITH UYOUR PRACTITIONER BEFORE BEGINNING):
- Beginning liver and kidney drainage to allow excess hormones to leave the system: Start with protocol #1 and then protocol #2 (each for 8 weeks straight)
- Do a pathogen (candida or parasite) cleanse
- COnsider taking DIM to remove excess carcinogenic estrogens from the body via the liver
- Take Zinc (30mg daily) to balance out from BC
- Take Bcomplex
For hair thinning, you want to determine what is the cause. it could be hormonal imbalance within the thyroid or female hormones, toxicity, chronic inflammation, nutrient deficiencies and many other causes.
The best way to go to remove toxins and hormones is biotherapeutic drainage. You can then also reduce chronic inflammation by doing a pathogen cleanse and then address nutrient deficiencies by taking a greens powder and remedies such as reishi to stabilize blood sugar.
Unfortunately we don’t have discounts for the hormone course anymore however we have reduced the price and it is currently on SALE! 🙂 It will give you even more specific info for hormones and hair thinning as well. I dont recommend herbs such as fenugreek or any others for that matter because they are hard for the liver to process and when youve been on BC for so long already and have imbalances, the liver is already super overwhelmed and burdened so you dont want to put anymore strain on it. Homeopathics and nutritionals are the best as they are so gentle!
- Consider taking DIM to help pull out estrogen and remove it via the liver

ParticipantThank you for your answer!
Is saw palmetto included in the group of herbs that are hard on the liver?
I think my hair shedding is hormonal since only dht blockers seem to improve it (and I have other sings of hormonal imbalance too).

ParticipantAlso, I don’t understand if phytoestrogens could have a good impact on my cycle or if I should avoid them.
I’ve read about the benefits of seed cycling in your ebook. Do they apply to “short” cycles like mine?
As far as gemmotherapy is concerned, I’d love to try Sequoia gigantea and Rosmarinus Officinalis. Do you think it’s a good idea?

Keymasteryes all herbs typically are.
Saw palmetto is great but usually something i recommend for men. For women, spearmint tea (2 cups per day), 30mg of zinc, licorice root, inositol, phytoestrogenic foods and cruciferous veggies are what i recommend to reduce testosterone/DHT conversion.
Phytoestrogens are great as well as incorporating them (flax for example) into seed cycling (I have a post under resources explaining how to seed cycle). YES seed cycling is ESPECIALLY GREAT for short cycles!
I love gemmotherapies and they work wonderfully!
