What are the symptoms of low progesterone in women or even high progesterone? There is this progesterone cream bioidentical made from wild yam … is it ok to use it? I heard that estrogen-progesterone levels should be balanced I believe I have had lower progesterone my entire life at this point.. As I said I’m 40 and have regular periods but lately, my period lasts 6-7 days it use to be 5 days my entire life. Can that be from lacking progesterone? How important is progesterone for us I hear everyone online talking about estrogen, estrogen dominance, etc would love to hear from you ( I don’t trust other ppl lol ) about the importance of it … is it true that no ovulation occurs if there is low progesterone?

Also, forgot to mention about Fibrocystic breasts I did an ultra sound just recently and was told that I have it, what does mean why does that occur?

    Low progesterone:

    • Low libido.
    • Hot flashes.
    • Migraines or headaches.
    • Depression, anxiety or other mood changes.
    • Menstrual cycle irregularity or absence.
    • Miscarriages
    • Hair thinning/hair loss
    • Difficulty losing weight

Wild yam (dioscorea) isn’t super effective for elevating progesterone.  Evening primrose oil and seed cycling re much more effective. Changes in the cycle around the age of 40 are often a result of peri-menopause which you cannot stop however you can improve. I would highly recommend seed cycling (i have a guide under resources) for balancing hormones naturally.

Yes, you need sufficient estrogen AND progesterone for ovulation to occur.

Cysts in the breast indicates estrogen toxicity which means you would need to do liver detoxing and reduce toxic estrogen by supporting your livers detox pathways and methylation. I talk extensively on how to do this in my hormone course but the best would be to work directly with a practitioner to clear the toxicity safely.

On your highlight on IG I saw a post about taking evening primrose from day 15 until day 30 of the period regardless if the period comes earlier, now how many months that should be done for regulating progesterone, like can I always do it? I believe I have low progesterone since I have almost all the symptoms above.

seed cycling can be done indefinitely but i usually recommend doing it until youve had regular and consistent low pain cycles for several months, then you can stop and see what happens.
