Hi my sibling is pregnant with the twins 1st trimester. She’s had some bleeding and the doctor prescribed hormons progesteron. What’s your opinion on such treatments?

    Hey Monika,

Low progesterone is definitely a concern as it is very difficult to maintain a pregnancy without sufficient levels. There are a lot of natural herbs and therapies that can boost progesterone which ideally I like to try before trying a synthetic hormone but these therapies obviously would need to be done before getting pregnant to see if they work for you. If you are already pregnant and realize you have low progesterone, taking hormone would be a good way to go to ensure you’re keeping your levels up where they need to be as if you try something gentler first and it is not enough, it may cause you to still have a miscarriage.
