ParticipantHello everyone
Is anyone concerned about your city drinking water and the health risk that comes with it?
I’ve been smelling more chlorine in the water for the past few weeks. Not to mention all the other junk they put in there. I live in Canada and I am very concerned about what this could do to our bodies over time.
What are your thoughts?

KeymasterI couldnt agree more with you! I refuse to drink water at restaurants because it is loaded with chlorine and you can taste it more and more! I love Berkey filters because it filters all the chlorine!

ParticipantI have the same concern. I never drink water that isn’t filtered for this exact reason. i have the small berkey but will be upgrading to the bigger one soon. I love it ! Bibi do you have a water filter?

ParticipantHi Madeleine, I only have a tap filtration system – but I still smell chlorine (I guess it doesn’t seem to be working :(), so I’m looking to upgrade to a better system. It’s really sad that we have to spend so much money for something that should already be safe for everyone.

KeymasterYes it is unfortunate that we can’t get good drinking water for FREE! I would definitely look into a Berkey system! They are affordable and work amazingly well 🙂

ParticipantHi Marla
Thanks for the suggestion on the Berkey System!
I will check it out;)September 8, 2020 at 9:37 pm #1220Rosemary Nakrour
ParticipantI think I mention before a while back that I had to return the Berkey filter because the water tasted like metal.
What do you think of The AquaTru filter what? Dr. Mark Hyman owns one and I was thinking on getting this one.

ParticipantBibi GREAT point!! There’s so much struggle to be healthy when it shouldn’t have to be! Have you guys heard of the filtration system in France? I’ve heard even the drinking fountains on the streets are pure clean water, and they have sparkling water drinking fountains!

ParticipantDo you know another great not so expensive water filter? I re-bought the Berkey Filter last month and again, the water tasted awful. It does not taste like how people mention it says, clean, no taste etc.
I know how important it is to have clean water. Sadly, Berkey is not for me. I can only pay for something that is up to 100 bucks. Any suggestions? Thanks Marla!

ParticipantBerkey tastes amazing and if yours is tasting funny, perhaps try returning it or reaching out to the company?

Keymasteryes I agree with Pat NAKROUR7. I don’t know of any other filters that filter everything you need it to for under $100.

ParticipantHello all,
I am looking for a good water filter bottle for travel (around 500 ml, or 1 l, to be easy to fit in a luggage), that can be purchased internationally. Any suggestions?
I want something that is really good quality.
Thank you!
