ParticipantHi Marla,
I’m not sure if you’re able to answer a question like this, but do you think animals can benefit from homeopaths? I saw you treated your chickens with homeopaths so that made me wonder. My cat has been having symptoms of “IBS” which the vet can’t figure out. Intermittent diarrhea and bloating, and I can tell she’s uncomfortable. Bloodwork, physical exams are fine. Stool is a little high in bad bacteria but probiotics make it worse (even just a tiny amount) and antibiotics only helped temporarily. I tried switching her food to a hypo-allergenic, new protein diet, but that didn’t help. Are there homeopathics for diarrhea/spastic digestive system animals can use? She is older but other than that she has no other apparent health issues. Via internet search my only guess is that she is having a spastic colon or food sensitivities but we haven’t figured out the food sensitivities yet.

KeymasterHey!
YES animals can greatly benefit from homeopathics! Unfortunately I wouldnt be able to recommend remedies for her as it depends on a lot of factors. There are actually homeopathic vets who deal with this! 🙂
I love giving rescue remedy to pets (there is a pet version) as it is great for literally everything! you can add it to water or directly onto her fur.
Aside from that, usually garlic or apple cider vinegar can work for animals with overgrowth but I am not sure if cats can have those (sorry dont know much about animals except chickens).

ParticipantThat’s ok! Thank you! 🙏🏼 I’ll look into rescue remedy. I heard of a vet near me recently who does homeopathics actually! I might check him out. I see my cat from a human perspective now with drainage and toxicity and how she’s been fed a terrible quality diet most of her life — and that’s probably causing all of these issues now. Vets treat symptoms too instead of the root. I tried gradually switching her to healthy cat food but that’s actually when the diarrhea started of all things. 🤦🏻♀️

Keymasteryes if the gut is used to one way of eating and then you switch and fiber content and fluid content changes in the food it can trigger issues 🙁 hope you sort it out!

ParticipantAhhh that’s totally it then. She went from a super high grain processed food to a high fiber, nutrient based food. Such a bummer since her old food is so bad for her! I found some good cat gut supplements and homeopaths online that have raving reviews so I’m going to try that out 🙏🏼 thanks Marla!
