    Hi Marla!

Can you please give me some insight into the cause and also how to manage Keratosis Pilaris?  I have had it since I was a baby and am now 39 and my kids have it as well which makes me sad.  Is that because it is hereditary or because a deficiency has been passed down?  I have heard everything from gluten sensitivity to vitamin A deficiency.  I have been 100% gluten and dairy free for 8 years, I use exfoliating gloves and moisturize well with very clean lotion or homemade body oils.  Any advice?  Also can this be cured or will it always just be management?

Thank you so much for all your time and knowledge you share with us!  Happy Holidays to you and your family!!

    Hello!

From the research I have done, it is Vit A and D deficiency. I would getting blood work done to see the levels and then try supplementing for a little while and then getting testing again. Just work with a practitioner who can truly read AND interpret BW results as very often the Vit D levels come back as normal when in fact there is a deficiency.

Exfoliating and moisturizing also helps so keep that going 🙂
