ParticipantHi Marla 🙂
Do you have any advice on getting through a sibo and gerd flare up?
I went on vacation for a week and ate only highly acidic foods and now I’m constantly in pain. Nothing much has helped, I’ve taken some antiacids, gelatin with hot water in the morning and last thing before bed, and have kept water well away from my meals.
But I don’t even know what to eat? Any liquids make me super bloated (water, tea, soups) I’m gluten and lactose free and rn I can only tolerate baked or steamed foods. I think I want to stay away from meat for a while.
Could you give me a few meal ideas, please?
And do you know any natural remedies for acid reflux? I’m so tired of waking up with nausea and s churning in my upper abdomen. I feel like going off Omeprazole is literally impossible atm, because without it, I couldn’t sleep for two days and I’m pretty sure that made my symptoms worse.
Have you had clients recover from gerd/gastritis/sibo? I don’t really care about a timeline, just if in the long run they got better.

ParticipantI forgot to mention, I was doing a candida cleanse, but I had to stop because there were too many supplements for me and black walnut, the undas, black current bud and juniperus extract had alcohol and my stomach couldn’t tolerate it. Maybe it’s not the right time for that, idk.
I’ll talk to my practitioner about it after my endoscopy. Is it possible to do a candida cleanse without all those? (Although I’d keep the black walnut)

KeymasterI would suggest doing a smoothie/soup diet for a couple days to relax everything. For example, veggie and/or bone broths or smoothies with steamed veggies.
I wouldnt be taking antacids as those make everything so much worse. There are SO MANY things to try/do for stomach issues but it varies person to person. I would try ficus carica Gemmotherapy (30 drops 3x/day in a bit of water 15 mins BEFORE food/supplements/scents/flavours). I would also suggest doing digestive bitters such as goldenseal directly before a meal (swirl it in the mouth with water before swallowing) to stimulate digestive juices. you may or may not need betaine HCl depending on your symptom profile.
I have so many GERD/gastritis clients but yes takes a while to get better. Transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation HAS to be done to restimulate peristalsis.
It is not advised to do the candida cleanse without drainage. however is alcohol bothers you, take the remedies with water and separately rather then all together and you can even do half doses of the bigger remedies.
