ParticipantHi Marla,
I believe I have GERD. My throat and chest are very sore from this. Do you know the best way at overcoming this?
Thank youJune 29, 2020 at 12:58 am #662Marla Pietruszko
KeymasterHello!
GERD is due to poor vagal motor nerve outflow which is triggered by chronic inflammation in the colon from pathogens and food sensitivities and bad diet as well as a potential head injury (concussion). Also eating too much or too quickly or poor food combining can trigger it as well. At the end of the day, it has to do with the vagus nerve not firing well enough to stimulate acid secretion and downward motility of the digestive system which leads to sstressed stomach and food coming back up.
I suggest taking nervium vagum 4CH liquid homeopathic for a few months (follow bottle dosage), digestive enzymes, betaine HCl, eating smaller (more frequent) meals and practice food combining!@ This video I made a while back on youtube might help too 🙂

ParticipantI have tried Betaine HCL and I feel like it contributes to my acid reflux. Is it supposed to feel like that or does that mean I have high stomach acid?
I will try your suggestions, thank you so much!July 2, 2020 at 8:14 pm #688Marla Pietruszko
Keymasterit depends how, when and how much youre taking. Can you share that info with me?

ParticipantI would take 1 or 2 every meal 3 times a day. I’ve started taking them again to see if it helps.

ParticipantAlso, I wanted to ask that if my colon is the problem, should I do a colon cleanse?

KeymasterYou’re only supposed to do a small sip with them and take them right before meals or during. If youre drinking alot with it, it will cause heartburn. If you’re not drinking a lot and are getting heartburn, it could also mean it is stuck in your throat which is why I like taking it BEFORE meals so that the food pushes it down. if youre taking it before meals with a small amount of water and still having issues, you might not need it.
yes a colon cleanse is ALWAYS a good idea!

ParticipantHey Marla, I have been taking Betaine HCL, a spore based probiotic, nervinum vagum, and chewing my food better and eating smaller meals, basically following all of your advice for a month now, and I feel like there is little to no improvement. I still have the acid reflux every all day it feels like. Is there something I’m doing wrong or not doing right?

KeymasterHi Brooklyn,
Personally when working with clients who have gastritis, they are on many more supplements than you are on right now and they are following the protocol for MONTHS before they begin to see improvement. You will never see improvement in that short time. You would need to do candida cleanse to reduce pathogens in the gut. You also need to be on liver and kidney remedies to support digestion and lastly, you might also want to be on antiinflammatories such as slippery elm, marshmallow root, aloe and/or Curcumin.
The supplements I suggested above are VERY BASIC and are targeting digestion at the most basic level. Without having you as a client, I can’t legally give a full protocol just like a doctor cant prescribe you a prescription without you visiting him first.
You need to relax the stomach anyway you can while doing a colon/candida cleanse and reducing inflammation. Gastritis requires a lot of TIME so you will not get improvement with just 1 month or even 2 or 3.
Let me know if you have further questions 🙂

ParticipantOkay this makes sense. Thanks for clarifying, I was thinking improvement would come quick. I will follow your suggestions. I would love to have a one on one protocol but financially just cannot right now, but maybe in the future. For now I will follow your advice and hopefully see improvement soon.
Thank you 🙂August 17, 2020 at 11:58 am #1012Marla Pietruszko
