    Hello,

I have had psoriasis for many years and while I haven’t had flare ups in a couple years, I do experience constant itching on my middle and ring finger of my right hand, especially at night. It is so uncomfortable as it keeps me up at night and I itch it a lot while I’m sleeping that it bleeds and blisters. Any ideas on what this is?

    Thanks for your time (:

    Hi Therese,

Yes what you experience is actually very common! There are a few explanations. The first is that you have inflammation within your body from potential pathogenic imbalance, stress or toxicity which is creating a shift in your Th1 immune cells. When you become more Th2 dominant and your Th1 immune status declines, you end up with chronic inflammation and tissue destruction which can lead to constant itching.

An explanation as to why your particularly itchy at night is #1, lack of melatonin production which leaves you more Th2 dominant. The 2nd is it could be inflammation from food sensitivities that you came in contact with during the day form the foods you ate.

Lastly, if you’re wondering why it is only in your fingers, this recent blog post I shared will explain what it means 🙂 https://holisticspring.org/2020/06/03/eczema-psoriasis-on-ring-finger-what-does-it-mean/

I hope this helps! let me know if you have any further questions 🙂
