So my bf is going through a parasite/gut cleanse. He’s going through a protocol from a trusted functional med doc, which is great. One of the pills he takes is a pure oregano oil capsule. I took one of these after some pretty bad eating and OMG… my body completed revolted.

Chain of events: lips turned very dark almost blue  (I have dark skin), very dry mouth, psoriasis went nuts, heart palpitations at night, and lots of clear vaginal discharge (sorry if TMI). I am also starting to get a single dark line forming on my right thumb nail. From the research I’ve done, something is going on with my iron levels?

Also, I suspect I am already in the hypothyroid group (blood tests are showing antibodies) and probably dealing with parasites and candida overgrowth, but it seems…and this is really strange, if I try to tackle this by going low carb it gets WORSE, but if I eat carbs and frequently, my body starts to return to “normal”????

Im guessing I, one, don’t have enough good bacteria/microbes and two, I have a slow candida and liver/kidney cleansing journey ahead of me? Am I thinking correctly? What do I address first? I am purchasing your candida cleanse protocol too…

Side note on the heart: Every time I go for a run on the treadmill, my left arm starts to go numb or tense up so badly after about ten minutes that I have to run keeping it dangling straight trying to relax it. And after about 20 minutes, my nose starts to run. Every single time. what is that? is it related? Also, haven’t had a cold or gotten sick in years.

Are there any tests you would run to rule things out at this point? What do I address first?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hey!

I would never suggest taking an antifungal (especially oregano) without being on drainage therapy first and during as you ABSOLUTELY can flare. Iron can often be low when you have had chronic inflammation (ferritin gets used up in the fenton reaction and then you end up with low ferritin).

If you have thyroid antibodies you most likely have hashimotos. Going low carb will kill pathogens and if there is no exit for toxins via liver and kidneys you will feel much worse. It sounds like you have very high inflammation, major dysbiosis, poor circulation, liver and kidney congestion, immune dysregulation and nutrient deficiencies. To tackle this, I would highly recommend you start with liver and kidney drainage and a pathogen cleanse (My candida eBook includes all this). Or you can start with the biotherapeutic drainage (BTD) included on this platform for 8 weeks then continue with 2ound 2 of BTD with candida cleanse. This may help a lot of your inflammation and symptoms and then from there you can do thyroid support, work on the nervous system, etc.

I cant recommend specific supplements without you being a client and signing consent agreements, etc. But what I can say is to get on a glutenfree, sugarfree, dairyfree, nightshade free, yeast free and peanut free diet ASAP with no bad oils or super starchy foods. Instead stick to lots of organic dark green leafy veggies, lean organic proteins and wild caught fish, healthy fats (nuts/seeds) and a smaller amount of starches coming from buckwheat, quinoa, millet, squash, lentils, mung beans, berries, green apples, etc. Avoid all other foods. Drink lots of water, and drink herbal teas like marshmallow root or slippery elm to reduce gut inflammation and likewise skin inflammation. Do hot epsom salt baths, saunas, etc (to sweat out toxins) and then add in the BTD and some antifungals along with binders (chlorella, probiotics, etc).

As your inflammation comes down and you consume red meat, etc, your iron levels can improve over time.

    Hope this helps!
