I was wondering what you think about the Wahl protocol diet for autoimmune. I know the doctor wrote it due to her MS diagnosis, but was wondering if those principles could significantly improve any other autoimmune disease, psoriasis, in my case. I’m thinking of getting her cookbook, as food is the part I most struggle with. For some reason it’s so much easier to just take supplements and homeopathics, but I find what I eat has a significant impact on my flare ups. Anyway, please let me know what you think of her book. Thanks!

I have not used her book so am not familiar with all her recipes however generally (especially for skin issues), paleo isnt the best way to go because while grain free is ideal, paleo tends to be more acidic (a lot of eggs and meat) and then also too high in starch (cassava, sweet potatoes, arrowroot etc).

The best way to eat is HIGHLY alkaline (LOADS of dark green veggies, berries, lemon, grapefruit, etc) with a good amount of protein from wild caught fish and chicken, turkey, etc and then small amount of starch form quinioa, buckwheat, berries, squash, peas, etc).

That being said, you can eat any way that you’d like! Just sharing my experience with my clients and what they responded best too 🙂
