ParticipantWhile looking for “clips” to use with my VN machine, I found this site…Is this another way….a safe way…?? other than the left ear/shoulder hook up?
https://www.instructables.com/DIY-Transcutaneous-Vagus-Nerve-Stimulator/
There are Two VN’s in people…why is only one side to be used with VN….or is there more to this?

Keymasteryou never want to use your right ear or it can damage your heart and cause it to misfire. ONLY use left ear. The placement on his right ear is very dangerous so i wouldn’t suggest it personally 🙂

ParticipantThank U so much! I had wondered that and why much research had said “left” ear!
This has me feel better now, so I know what ear is safe. Now my big question is… few are saying as Marla…that one patch goes on shoulder and one clip for the ear. The location on the ear is understood…but location on shoulder? Â What thoughts does anyone have for the link-method that I provided above ..that does not use the shoulder.?? Â Is this “short cut” acceptable? Or is it too much of an “easy way out”? Â I don’t mind reading instructions, however when very new to something, and it involves the body and one’s health…I like pictures or video’s. Is there such provided for proper location points on shoulder and ear?
Again, thanks so much for the reply’s! I’m not a newbe’ for Lyme issues and matters…but for the “Ten’s” I am. And I’ve learned, before U start something new, always do your best in research FIRST! With Lyme and Co-infections due to it’s nature of being complicated and everyone is effected/affected/infected differently it can be a challenge to find “proper ways”… but it should never hinder one’s effort to do the best they can in research! Â Hat’s off to this site helping others help each other!

Keymasterthe shoulder helps further stimulate the vagus nerve. you dont need to do that but you get better results that way.
You’re absolutely right! research should ALWAYS come first 🙂
