ParticipantI just got your reply to one of my questions a while back about why would I get the heart palpitations taking collagen. You said because it is a histamine forming food.
I would like to know some foods I should avoid to lower this histamine and what foods I should be eating even while I do a liver cleanse.
I am aware of eggs especially the white part of the egg is not good? so what meats should be safe?
I will get a histamine test done this month. This will help to see where i’m at with inflamed.
I hope this connects to the topic histamine. Instead of having eggs, like having a smoothie with spinach, blueberries almond butter..? would be a better option? I’ve always noticed every time I eat anything cold I always get mucus. This means my body is to damp. What are better ways to reduce this. I know I have to get to the root, liver cleanse and candida cleanse.. I am on my way there. This is why i’m asking so much before I do the cleanse.
I do not know how to delete the other post I wrote on this topic. D: I tried but did not see any deleted button.

KeymasterHere is a list from google on histamine forming foods: https://www.histamineintolerance.org.uk/about/the-food-diary/the-food-list/
yes avoid eggs and you can do warm smoothies for breakfast rather than cold.

ParticipantThank you Marla!
I just looked over the list. No teas? but is dandelion tea okay? When it comes to eggs. I always hard boil them (they are organic and free range). Would only eating the yellow part work ? if i were to do the heavy metal test this will show also my histamine?

Keymastereggs are always histamine forming regardless how you cook them. herbal teas are OK to have but they have to be caffeine free.
Heavy metals is not an indicator of histamine. you would need to ask your doctor to check your inflammation and histamine levels (eosinophils).September 18, 2020 at 8:08 pm #1351Rosemary Nakrour
ParticipantBy doing this test, it will show what I am histamine to? Like eggs, beef, chicken other kinds of foods etc? Do you think this test is helpful? Would it be something I can benefit from knowing?

KeymasterYou would need a food sensitivity to determine what foods are bothering you. If you have high histamine, you need to avoid ALL histamine forming foods regardless if you are sensitive to them or not.

ParticipantThat is alot of food I need to avoid. Chicken, beef and turkey will be okay? so by doing the Elisa test will help know what are my histamine. Is this done by lab or do I get a small kit to do this test?

KeymasterStart by avoiding the most inflammatory foods first and if that doesn’t help, then start cutting out things like avocado and the lower histamine foods. ELISA test needs to be done via an ND.

KeymasterAN ELISA test is for food sensitivities, not histamine.

ParticipantHello, Marla, I’m dealing with a lot of histamine, was wondering what is the best supplement for it I heard quercetin, rutin and ig fortify is good for it, now I was wondering which one would be the right one to get? Thank you 🙂

Keymasterhistamine is triggered by overgrowth of pathogens so the best supplements for the root cause would be antifungals. However Hist Rest from Pure Encapsulations can help in the meantime. GI fortify is great as well for histamine in the gut.
