Hi Marla I have a spot on my head just above the top of my ear that has been itchy for years, it’s not a surface itch though that goes away when scratched it feels like it’s under the skin, I also had a similar experience on the bottom of my foot that lasted almost a year then stopped and not it’s been on the right side of my head, it’s really annoying it happens mostly at night and has actually woke me up in the middle of the night because it’s itchy. What could this be😬 thank you
If its not an actual skin irritation, it sounds like a nervous system issue perhaps? Sorry I cant be of more help!
I thought maybe it had to do with my liver and possibly needing to cleanse it. I’m itchy all over as well especially at night, not sure why. I’ve been tested for candida and parasites but came back negative. I do find when I eat sugar the itching is 10x worse, but if I avoid sugar it’s almost non existent. Thanks for your input.
usually itching comes from high levels of bile salts in the blood (cholestasis). Have you been tested for that?
Liver and gallbladder blockage/toxicity. YOu can ask your doctor to look into that. usually it is only an issue during pregnancy but itching all the time without hives or skin conditions could be from elevated bile acids.

I also experience this same weird itching under my foot at night .My doctor said some women might experience this with shifting hormone levels.I’m not sure if this might be the case for you.Oh that’s interesting, I haven’t heard that. The itch on my foot went away after 8 months, it was so intense at night, the itch on my head isn’t as bad but it’s still annoying. I’ll look into the hormone aspect and see what I can find.
